Health & Safety Policy
Sub NZ’s operational policy places utmost importance on the health and
safety of our employees and others, and on the preservation of the natural and
historical environments in which we work. We operate in compliance with all
relevant legislation and are advocates for the protection of health, safety
and the environment.
Our procedures maximise the safety of operations carried out by our
employees and contractors, increase service safety, and prevent air, water and
soil pollution. We employ precautions to minimize damage from any accidents.
Diving tragedies have highlighted the risks of underwater inspection. If a
job presents an unreasonable risk to the diver then use of a ROV would seem
mandated.
A small portable ROV can accomplish many tasks without risking the health
and safety of divers. Further, it offers an advantage where potential
contamination may be an issue, such as in potable water tanks and reservoirs.
Many tank owners are small businesses and continue to look for safer and lower
cost alternatives.
